SICK completes reorganisation of Executive Board
Waldkirch, 16 May 2007. SICK AG, the world’s leading producer of industrial sensors and sensor solutions has completed the reorganisation of its Executive Board. Reinhard Bösl has been appointed Executive Board Member for the Logistics Automation Segment with effect from 1 July 2007.

After studying information science in Munich, Reinhard Bösl (48) held a variety of positions at Witron Logistik + Informatik GmbH, in Parkstein, and became the company’s Managing Director in 1998. Since 2004 he has been active in management positions at Krones AG, in Neutraubling, including as Managing Director of the subsidiary Syskron GmbH.

The Logistics Automation Segment for which Reinhard Bösl will be responsible at SICK AG is one of SICK’s strongest growing areas. SICK offers products and solutions that identify, measure and determine the positions of objects in automated processes for customers such as courier, express and parcel service providers; and operators of logistics centers and goods depots, ports and airports.

The new Executive Board structure was already introduced by SICK on 1 October 2006. Since then the Executive Board Spokesperson has been Dr. Robert Bauer, who also leads the Technology department. Jens Höhne directs the Process Automation Segment, Markus Paschmann the Factory Automation Segment, and Markus Vatter the Finance & Human Resources department. The newly created Logistics Automation Segment has up to now been temporarily managed by Dr. Robert Bauer.
