Change to Supervisory Board of SICK AG
Waldkirch, 4 October 2005 – As announced at the Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting in June 2005, for reasons of health the former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SICK AG, Mr Volker Reiche, resigned his position on the Board on 30 September 2005.
Mr Reiche was a member of the Executive Board at Erwin Sick GmbH from 1984-1996 and its Chairman after the death of the company’s founder Dr Erwin Sick. Following conversion of the company to an AG (stock corporation), he was Chairman of the Executive Board of SICK AG from 1996-2002, after which he moved to the Supervisory Board as its Chairman.
The Supervisory Board has elected Mr Klaus Bukenberger, Spokesman of the Executive Board of Homag Group AG in Schopfloch, as its new Chairman. Mr Bukenberger has been a member of the Supervisory Board of SICK AG since 2002.
Dr Ronaldo Schmitz will be put forward to the responsible Registry Court as a new member of the Supervisory Board. Dr Schmitz was on the Executive Board of BASF AG from 1980-1990 and on the Executive Board of Deutsche Bank AG from 1991-2000.
