SICK MAIHAK GmbH holds over 95% stake in Maihak AG - No squeeze-out planned
Waldkirch / Hamburg, 28. March 2006. SICK MAIHAK GmbH, Waldkirch, a 100% subsidiary of SICK AG, now holds more than 95% of the shares of Maihak AG, Hamburg, which is listed on the stock exchange.

SICK MAIHAK GmbH, responsible for the Process Automation segment in the SICK Group, purchased a majority stake in the Hamburg-based producer of analyzers and process measurement technology in 2000, and has now passed the 95% level. No squeeze-out of the remaining shareholders is planned at present.

SICK AG is one of the world’s leading producers of sensors and sensor solutions for industrial use. The company, founded in 1946 and based in Waldkirch-im-Breisgau, Germany, achieved Group sales of EUR 538 m. in 2004 with over 4,000 employees worldwide. Maihak AG achieved sales of EUR 17.7 m. in 2005 and employs 136 personnel.
