These solutions are designed to replace hard guarding to allow product to enter and/or exit robot cells and prevent people from entering at those points. C4000 Palletizer Entry/Exit protection WITHOUT muting sensors! Simply install and align the light curtains in a horizontal position, and your system is ready to accept pallet legs smaller than 240mm. Rather than using muting sensors, this system allows product to enter and exit via pattern recognition. The palletizer sees an object enter the field, learns the size, and allows the product to float through the field as long as it breaks each beam sequentially and does not change size. With this system, you will never have to worry about replacing or realigning muting sensors ever again! Additional features include:

- Reduced resolution
- Application diagnostic output for contamination, OSSD status, or position signal
- Gap suppression
- Can also be programmed to look at pallet goods (single object) as opposed to pallet legs (2-5 objects)

M4000 Muting Solution This is the traditional entry/exit solution using either 2 or 4 muting sensors. A M4000 Advanced (multiple light beam safety device) used with a UE403 muting module allows for connection of all the muting components at the point of operation. The muting sensors, reset/override switch, muting lamp, and M4000 can all be connected to the UE403. All you have running back to the control panel is the M4000 power lines and safety outputs! Customize your solution by programming the UE403 to increase the availability and safety of your system. Features of the M4000 system include:
- Direction detection
- Belt stop
- Sensor gap monitoring
- Integrated override function
- Partial blanking
- End of muting by ESPE
- Muting arms available with pre-mounted brackets, sensors, and reflectors

Muting using a Flexi Controller Whether you need to mute a light curtain or laser scanner, either can be accomplished using a Flexi controller.
For those who do not want to program their muting solution, Flexi Classic is the ideal product to chose. Wire your protective device and muting sensors back to the main unit in the controller panel and simply turn the rotary switch to your desired muting program. Your solution is now complete!
If you do not mind doing some simple programming, you can easily create your own ideal muting solution using Flexi Soft. This controller uses intuitive software with drag and drop features to insert your safety components and function blocks. Add on extension modules to incorporate all your e-stops, interlocks, and other safety devices to create the ultimate safety solution!
