DFS60 Programmable Incremental Encoders

The new series of DFS60 Incremental Encoders can be programmed to accommodate any value from 1 to 65,536 pulses per revolution (PPR) ¬— something no other encoder can do. SICK is the only company to offer output voltage and zero set position programming through the software interface. This highly robust encoder features a revolutionary mechanical design and a metal code disc that provides a higher temperature tolerance. As with our previous programmable DRS21/26/61 CoreTech Encoders, the new DFS60 reduces the need to stock encoders with different resolutions and enables users to create custom resolutions at the click of a button.
These new encoders provide higher resolution options, increased temperature tolerance and improved bearing lifetime for any application that requires precise and reliable position accuracy. Using a new USB-based programming tool, all programming is now done through the output port on the encoder. Plus, the software’s flexible programming options allow users to set the output voltage to either a TTL or an HTL output.
