Palletizer/Depalletizer
Depalletizing machines take bulk containers — bottles, bags, cans, etc.— and unpack them from pallets for use in the packaging process. Photoelectric or Capacitive sensors can be used to ensure the pallet is in position for unpacking. Photoelectric, Capacitive, Inductive or Ultrasonic sensors are ideal for confirming proper combining of products to single file. The sensor is connected to the PLC for motion detection, constantly checking for voids and jams. Palletizers arrange products into various patterns onto a pallet. SICK photoelectric sensors, encoders and inductive proximity sensors are ideal for use in the palletizer to help ensure a good pallet. Inductive sensors detect the push arm that moves products into position. Light grids determine when a layer is full and ensure that packages are packed tight and not overhanging.
