Cartoner
|
 |
Vertical and horizontal cartoner machines provide packaging for a wide variety of consumer products. These machines are usually equipped with additional features such as a date code printer, leaflet or coupon inserter, or a bar code reader. SICK’s versatile line of sensors helps make sure cartoner machines operate at optimal performance levels. As incoming product enters the cartoner, sensors help ensure product is collated into the appropriate pack pattern. A flat carton is then selected from the carton magazine, opened and positioned for insertion. Individual cartons are pulled into the machine based on their position. Sensors then detect the movement of product passing by on the conveyor. With precise timing and positioning through encoder and sensing technology from SICK, the entire load is then accurately placed into the carton. During the flap folding sequence, sensors verify that a good seal occurred. |
